Affiliate Programs vs. Selling Your Own Products on the Web

In the affiliate business, it follows the 80-20 rule – 80% of the benefit is only achieved by 20% of the affiliates. So if you want to get rich quick, affiliate program isn’t for you… but if you want to be one of the 20% affiliates who get 80% of the benefit… read on.
First of all, ask yourself why you want to start an affiliate business on the internet…
“Um… to earn some cash and buy things I want”
No, I want you to be as specific as possible…
For example, “I want to increase my income so that I can afford a sports car and have the ultimate sense of pride when I drive into the yard of my friends who said that I will never succeed in making money on the internet! I want my friends to be envious; I want to prove them wrong!”

Also you can sign up for a Google Adsense account, google.com/adsene so that you can put ads sponsored Google on your website. You can also apply for a Kontera account at: kontera.com and you can also place their content ads on your website and make money.

By far, the easiest way to make money online is with affiliate marketing. Get yourself a Clickbank account and an account with Commission Junction. Clickbank offers digital products whilst CJ offers more physical products. Then, in theory, all you need to do is send targeted traffic to your affiliate links and you should generate an income.
You say you keep getting ripped off, I don’t know what you keep purchasing, but any program worth its salt should offer a refund. Check out the refund policies for each thing you have purchased.
99% of these systems that are sold do work, but you do have to put the time in to read, learn and understand how each system works. What you maybe suffering from is information overload. I know that when I first started out internet marketing, I purchased every ebook, report and program going. They all promised instant riches and over night success. I read and read, learned and researched, purchased more products, but I wasn’t successful.
